We found the tie I will be marrying the love of my life in! It’s pretty sweet. I can’t wait to wear it in… 9 months and 6 days.

Eva and I were in New York City last weekend with her sister… dress shopping. Ok, it was more like Eva and Eshirl were in New York City last weekend and I was tagging along. I served my purpose though, I stood in line at the Shake Shack in Madison Square Park for almost an hour while Eva was looking for the dress of her dreams. Luckily, they met up with me before I reached the front of the line. Shake Shack was pretty good, but I don’t think I’d wait more than 20 minutes for their burgers. So back to that dress… yes folks, she found her dress! Woohoo, one more wedding task checked off the never ending list! Of course, I wasn’t allowed to see the dress. My curiosity is killing me… Oh well, at least now we have the food/cake/wine tastings to look forward to. Super excited about that.

Today, Eva put in the call to hold our wedding venue and date… the Dallas/Plano Marriott at Legacy Town Center is where the magic will happen on June 11th, 2011!

Now we just need to sign the contract to officially reserve the location and date. Big hurdle, but this is only the beginning. We still have a long and exciting way to go…
